highest, and many materials will crack, break, split or surface

to GB1843 standards, and can bear strong external impacts, internal
overload and pressure fluctuation.
3. Corrosion resistance
UHMWPE is a kind of structure of saturated molecules, so its
chemical stability is very high. It can withstand the erosion of
potent chemical substances, and it is not subject to corrosion in
other lye and acid except for some mild acid at high temperature
outside. UHMWPE can be used in the concentrated hydrochloric acid
with less than 80% concentration, and its performance is quite
stable in the sulfuric acid with less than 75% concentration and in
the nitric acid with less than 20% concentration.
4. Good self-lubrication
UHMWPE pipe contain the waxy substance itself, and its
self-lubrication is very good. The frictional coefficient (196N, 2
hours) is only 0.219MN/m (GB3960), so its self-lubrication is
better than steel or brass with oil lubrication. Especially its dry
lubrication can be fully displayed in the poor environment and
places of more dust and sand. It not only can be used freely, and
can protect the workpiece from wearing or strain.
5. The unique resistance to low temperature
The resistance to low temperature of UHMWPE pipe is excellent, and
its impact resistance and anti-abrasion can’t change basically at
minus 269 degrees Celsius. It is the only available engineering
plastics can work at temperatures close to absolute zero.
Meanwhile, the adaptable temperature range of UHMWPE pipe is large,
and it can be used within -269 to 80 degrees Celsius.
6. Not easy to form dirt
UHMWPE pipe has excellent surface non-adhesion and surface
smoothness due to its small friction coefficient and non-polarity.
Existing materials form dirt usually in the medium with PH value of
9 or above, but UHMWPE pipe can’t form dirt. This characteristic
has great significance to the system of discharging powder and coal
ash of power plant, and is also well suited for the pipeline of
crude oil, mud and so on.
7. Long life-span
The unsaturated genes of UHMWPE molecular chain are less, and its
fatigue resistance strength is more than 500 thousand times, and
its Environmental Stress Cracking Resistance is more than 4000h,
which is twice more than the PE. It can still maintain more than
70% mechanical properties after it is buried and used for 50 years.
8. Easy installation
The weight of unit length of UHMWPE pipe is only one-eighth of the
steel pipe, which makes loading and unloading, transportation,
installation be more convenient, and can reduce workers’ labor
intensity. Anti-aging properties of UHMWPE pipe are very strong,
and it is not easy to get aging within 50 years, regardless of
setting up on the ground, or being covered underground. It is
possible whether it is welded or connected by flange when install.
